Volunteers for this program focus on helping pediatric patients have a more comfortable hospital stay.

Volunteers will visit children and their families who have been admitted to the hospital. They visit as soon as possible after admission and focus on supporting the child and family during their hospital stay.

Training Provided

• Fire and safety
• Job-specific training that is done in small groups or one-on-one with staff
• Specific training for volunteering with children and families

Volunteer Requirements

• Prior experience volunteering in a hospital

Time Commitment

• Three to four hours per week, Monday to Friday
• One-year commitment
