Patient/Family Support Volunteer Opportunities

Hospice volunteers provide a caring presence for terminally ill patients and their families.

Eighteen hours of training prepare volunteers to provide short periods of companionship and emotional and social support to patients and their caregivers.

Additional opportunities are available at our two Inpatient Care Facilities: Hospice at Meadowlands located in Hillsborough, NC, and Hock Family Pavilion located in Durham, NC.

Development/Administrative Volunteer Opportunities

Development/administrative volunteers are critical to our success. There are many ways you can help:

• Administrative duties -- filing, labeling, answering telephones, monthly packet assembly, and more
• Volunteer receptionist/ambassador at Hock Family Pavilion Inpatient Care Facility
• Care Shawl Project -- knit or crochet care shawls for our patients

Development/administrative volunteers can volunteer for a one-time event, or on a continuing basis. Meet great people and make great friends!
