Helping Hands is a clinic-based program where volunteers offer assistance to patients and families in the clinic waiting areas.

This is an excellent volunteer opportunity to assist patients and families with non-clinical needs and provide caring support and a “helping hand” during waiting times for clinic visits.

This clinic opportunity allows volunteers to help as a facilitator to ensure an excellent patient experience while in the clinic waiting areas. This opportunity involves direct contact with patients and families.

Training Provided

• Fire and safety
• Job-specific training that is done in small groups or one-on-one with staff
• Specific training for volunteering with children and families

Time Commitment

• Three to four hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Clinic hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• One-year commitment
