Become a Duke Volunteer Ambassador! Help hundreds of patients and visitors who come through Duke Clinic, Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center, and Duke University Hospital every day.

This is a very important role and you can be a part of helping many of our patients and families. Duke Ambassadors greet visitors in a friendly and professional manner and give directions or information upon request, making customer service our first priority.

Volunteers help provide these services:

• Provide important information about hospital services
• Assist in locating patient appointments
• Identify patients and visitors’ special needs
• Provide hospital directions and assist in answering the phone
• Provide solutions to patient and families’ questions and needs
• Many other tasks that assist the hospital in providing an excellent patient experience

As a volunteer you will receive:

• Duke–blue "Ambassador" vest and other rewards
