This quilt was created with fabric gathered at the first Duke Hospital Service of Remembrance, on October 6, 2001.

The Art Quilt was designed and created by Marguerite Jay Gignoux to celebrate the families and friends who remember their loved ones.

The Service of Remembrance is sponsored by the Bereavement Services Program, a part of the Pastoral Services Department, and the Bereavement Advisory Council. Grant funding for the quilt project came from Duke Hospital Auxiliary Services.

The Art Quilt is displayed in Duke University Hospital, beside the cafeteria on the first floor.
