Duke contracts with most health insurance plans. Prior to scheduling your hospital or clinic visit, you should check with your health insurance plan to see if you have access to health care services at Duke and learn the specifics of your coverage. The customer service/member representative with your insurance company is the best person to inform you of the level of coverage you will have as a patient at Duke. Otherwise, you may be responsible for all or a large portion of your bill. You can also find out what, if any, copayments, coinsurances and deductibles will be your responsibility.
For additional assistance and/or if your health insurance plan is not listed, please call the Duke Consultation and Referral Center at 888-ASK-DUKE (888-275-3853), Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
