Cody Malley, PA-C, LAT, ATC, discusses his role as a Duke orthopaedic physician assistant in this Q&A session.
Why did you choose to practice orthopaedic medicine?
I chose to work in orthopaedic surgery due to my background as a certified athletic trainer for over 10 years.
Why did you choose to work at Duke?
I chose to work at Duke due to its reputation as a leader in the field of sports medicine and knowing that I would be exposed to some very challenging cases that are sent to Duke from all over the country.
What do you find most rewarding about your job?
I learn something new every day and get to meet -- and learn from -- many different specialists in different areas of medicine, and be a part of a comprehensive model of patient care.
I also enjoy interacting with the orthopaedic residents and fellows as well as our great support staff.
