Christopher Cole, PA-C, MMSc, discusses his role as a Duke orthopaedic physician assistant in this Q&A session.

Why did you choose to practice orthopaedic medicine?
I chose orthopaedics as I've always been interested in the more physical aspects of medicine -- including the musculoskeletal system, exercise, and athletics.

Why did you choose to work at Duke?
I grew up in Durham and have always been affiliated in some way with Duke and the Duke community. My parents worked at Duke and I did as well in between college years. It was an easy transition for me following graduate school.

What do you find most rewarding about your job?
Helping patients return to activities they enjoy.
