On the day of your appointment, please be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes early to fill out or turn in any paperwork or insurance information.
Depending on your care needs, you may also be asked to bring a list of current medications you are taking.
Your appointment will begin with the nurse reviewing your patient history with you. He or she may ask additional questions to help create a complete view of your treatment history and current pain.
After the nurse has reviewed your medical history, one of our orthopaedic physicians, physician assistants, or nurse practitioners will assess your injury. Our providers spend time with each patient to fully understand the cause of pain.
Many times, our providers can make a diagnosis based on the patient history, physical examination, or x-ray. Most of our orthopaedic clinics are equipped with x-ray machines, so we offer results immediately.
If further magnetic resonance images (MRIs) or computer tomography (CT) scans are needed, we will arrange those appointments for you before you leave our office.
Once the doctor has determined the cause of the pain, he or she will work with you to create a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
If your treatment plan includes physical therapy or surgery, we will schedule those appointments for you as well.

Our orthopaedic team is committed to helping patients achieve a full recovery, so we follow up with patients regularly to assess the effectiveness of the treatment and to make necessary adjustments.
