Duke Orthopaedics contracts with most health insurance companies to provide accessible care for our patients.
Prior to scheduling your hospital or clinic visit, you should check with your health insurance provider to see if you have access to health care services at Duke and to learn the specifics of your coverage.
Your insurance company is the best resource for information about the level of coverage you will have as a patient at Duke. Otherwise, you may be responsible for all or a large portion of your bill.
Your insurance representative will also inform you what, if any, copayments, coinsurances, and deductibles you will be responsible to pay.
Patients who do not have insurance will be referred to a financial counselor for additional assistance.
For questions regarding insurance and payment, please call the Duke Consultation and Referral Center at 888-ASK-DUKE (888-275-3853) to speak to one of our customer service representatives.
