Lee H. Diehl, MDDuke Sports Medicine, in conjunction with Alamance Regional Medical Center, has been named the official team physician for Elon University Athletics.
Duke Sports Medicine is dedicated to providing Elon University student-athletes with world-class clinical care to ensure the Phoenix athletes stay healthy and can perform at their peak.
Lee H. Diehl, MD, of North Carolina Orthopaedic Clinic, will serve as head team physician. Kirtida Patel, MD, of Alamance Regional Medical Center, will act as head primary care team physician.
Diehl has extensive experience in high school and collegiate-level sports, and is a volunteer physician for the United States Olympic Committee. As part of the Duke Sports Medicine high school outreach program, he’s a team physician with Orange High School in Hillsborough.
Diehl says, “I’m excited about the opportunity to work with Dr. Patel and look forward to the challenge of providing world-class care for Elon Athletics. Go Phoenix!”
