- Orthopaedic oncologist, Brian Brigman, MD, PhD, is working with members of the plastic surgery research team to develop better functioning replacements for large areas of resected bone using autologous stem cells.
- Researchers in the Coach K Performance Lab have teamed with Nike, Inc. to research foot, ankle, and knee injury prevention and to improve performance through shoe design innovations.
- Gait analysis in the Coach K Performance Lab by Duke Orthopaedic researchers will assess the benefits of various surgical approaches for total hip replacements.
