Tolnitch Surgical Associates is the first breast-dedicated surgical practice in Raleigh and has been caring for women in North Carolina's Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill) since 1991.

In 2011, Tolnitch Surgical Associates become part of the Duke Cancer Institute and the Division of Surgical Oncology in the Department of Surgery.
