The following information is important for our patients to read before their visit to North Hills Internal Medicine.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.
  • If this is your first visit with us, please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.
  • Please bring two forms of ID and all medications with you to every appointment.
  • Please be aware that if you are late for your appointment, you will need to reschedule.
  • If you need to cancel your appointment, please call 24 hours prior to your appointment time.
  • If you do not call prior to the appointment to cancel or reschedule, you are considered a no show.

First no show:You will receive a call from the nurse and a letter.

Second no show: You will receive a letter from your provider.

Third no show: You will receive a letter stating that you will be dismissed from the practice.

  • If you are a new patient and do not keep your scheduled appointment and did not call prior to the appointment to cancel or reschedule, you are considered a no show. This appointment cannot be rescheduled.

Prescription Refills

All new prescriptions require an office visit. For medicine refills, please have your pharmacy fax over a request.

Refill requests will be completed within 24 hours of the request with the exception of weekend and holiday hours.

If you are using mail order for refill of medications, please provide the nurse with your mail order prescription form.

Nursing Hours

Nursing hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Please call ahead and inform us so we can have your chart ready when you arrive to help decrease your waiting time. Medication injections and immunizations require an appointment with a nurse.

Lab Appointments

All lab visits require an appointment. Lab appointments are made from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Protimes and international normalized ratio (INR) appointments are scheduled Tuesday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

For all follow up labs you must make an appointment and bring your lab paperwork with you. Labs are done for our providers only.
