Duke offers many types of locations to help you receive health care in the best way for your needs.
Hospital
Our hospitals -- Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC; Durham Regional Hospital in Durham, NC; and Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, NC -- offer inpatient care, regional emergency services, trauma services, and more.
Hospital Outpatient Department
Our hospitals provide convenient ambulatory care services in outpatient settings.
Surgery Center
Surgery centers offer full-service outpatient surgery services. This approach offers the latest surgical technology and anesthetic techniques, combined with warm, personalized care in an attractive, comfortable atmosphere designed to put you at ease.
Duke Primary Care
This is a network of community-based primary care practices that are owned by Duke Primary Care (DPC). It includes more than 80 physicians and mid-level providers at sites in Durham, Orange, Wake, Granville, Vance, Person, and Alamance counties.
The DPC network offers full-service primary care including family medicine, general internal medicine, and pediatric medicine practices. Our hospital referrals include all those surrounding our clinic locations.
Private Diagnostic Clinic
Private Diagnostic Clinic (PDC) is made up of on-campus and community-based primary and specialty care practices staffed by Duke University faculty members.
The PDC’s primary care services include family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and pediatrics. Patient care is a top priority at all of the practices, so most locations offer primary care appointments within 24 hours.
Urgent Care
Urgent care centers are open 365 days a year, and offer extended hours and limited on-site laboratory and radiology services. They enable the diagnosis, treatment, and management of urgent medical conditions and minor trauma when a patient's primary care physician is unavailable.
HomeCare & Hospice
Duke HomeCare & Hospice offers home care services through three programs: Duke Home Infusion, Duke Home Health, and Duke Hospice.
