Durham Pediatrics at Highgate Drive offers comprehensive preventive care and treatment to children from birth through college. Each of our providers is fully board-certified in pediatrics, and each one is committed to the maintenance of that certification through ongoing education.

In addition, several of our children’s health care providers have pursued additional training in specific areas of interest, so that we can provide in-depth experience in such areas as adolescent gynecology, asthma, hematology and oncology, and pediatric dermatology.

Durham Pediatrics of Highgate Drive is regularly involved in activities at the local, state, and national level that foster the health and well-being of all children. We also participate regularly in clinical studies in such diverse areas as quality improvement, management of common infections, child behavior, and vaccine development.

Reliable Children’s Health Care

As pediatricians, we of course spend a great deal of our time attending to the routine issues that most parents with healthy children encounter. We cherish our provision of well-child preventive care options such as:

• Sports physicals

However, because of the close relationships that we have established with sub-specialists, we are also quite comfortable managing the health care of children with complex medical issues.

Complex Children’s Care

For children with complex medical issues, we see ourselves as their true “medical home.” Yes, we coordinate their health care, but it’s also at our office that these children with special medical needs are seen as whole children, not just the sum of their medical problems.

The day-to-day joy of our professional lives comes from getting to know you and your child, watching you both grow and change. Many of the families who come to Durham Pediatrics for their child’s health care needs have come for two, even three, generations.
