Common signs of hearing loss include:

  • Difficulty following conversations and understanding speech
  • The need for frequent repetition during conversations
  • Difficulty hearing in noisy situations, like conferences, restaurants or crowded meeting rooms
  • Listening to the television or radio at a high volume
  • Answering or responding inappropriately in conversations
  • Withdrawing from social situations that you once enjoyed because of difficulty hearing
  • Ringing or buzzing in your ear(s)
  • Pain/fullness in your ear(s)
  • Dizziness or a feeling of being off balance
