Pediatric patients and their families are eligible for overnight accommodations at the Ronald McDonald House. Outpatients and their families receive priority. A minimal donation is requested. Transportation to and from the Hospital is available during weekdays. Call 919-416-3955.
Adults receiving outpatient treatment at the Duke Cancer Institute are eligible for overnight accommodations at Caring House, a local hospitality house specializing in lodging for patients with cancer.
Caring House is a comfortable, supportive, and community-oriented setting. All guests of Caring House must be referred by an oncology social worker or patient resource manager at the Duke Cancer Institute.
Caring House offers free parking and transportation to and from Duke University Hospital, as well as many other amenities. Caring House requires a nominal nightly guest fee of $30. A seven-day stay, which includes a guaranteed room through the weekend, costs $210 per week.
