Laboratory
The laboratory hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Most lab tests are drawn as part of an office visit. However, lipid panel and glucose (sugar) tests require a 12-hour fast. This means that if you come for a lab-only visit at 8 a.m., you should have nothing by mouth from 8 p.m. the night before. You may have water and black coffee.
