Additional Details

The clinic also houses Duke Perinatal Consultants of Burlington, which offers services that include fetal echocardiography.

Our approach aims to minimize disruption to the family by coordinating care as much as possible, while maintaining the referring obstetrician’s primary involvement in the care of the mother.

Scope of Care

  • Consultative services for children with suspected or known congenital heart disease and adults with confirmed congenital heart disease
  • Care of children with acquired heart disease, hypertension, and lipid disorders
  • Comprehensive diagnostic and consultative services for fetuses with known or suspected cardiac disease, including detailed history, fetal echocardiography, discussion with families, and explicit recommendations
  • Faxed preliminary report on day of appointment
  • Telephone notification on day of appointment in cases of severe fetal heart disease or complex fetal diagnosis
  • Ready availability -- including on-call -- for questions and concerns
