The Fred Cobb Healing Hearts Program is designed for people who would benefit from medical supervision while exercising, but who do not qualify for insurance reimbursement for cardiac rehabilitation.
Supervised by our nurse and exercise physiologists, participants will get a tailored program that meets their needs and helps them to reach their goals. Each session includes an exercise component and the option of attending an educational lecture or meditation class. A heart-focused nutrition class and a stress management series are also offered.
Located on the beautiful, 26-acre Duke Center for Living campus, Healing Hearts is held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. The program cost is $200 for 12 sessions and you may renew the program as often as desired.
If you would like more information, or if you are a physician and have patients that would benefit from this program, please e-mail Cathy Ritchey at catherine.ritchey@duke.edu or call at 919-660-6738.
