I first came to Duke in the fall of 2007. I was in constant pain due to severe post-traumatic arthritis in my left ankle. There were times when I could not
walk due to the pain and "locking up" of my ankle.
Barbara and Roger CollierAfter meeting with Dr. James Nunley and his team, I heard the good news -- I was a good candidate for a total ankle replacement.
My ankle was replaced by Dr. Nunley in November of 2007.
I am nearing my two-year anniversary with my new ankle, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results and the care I received prior to, during, and after my ankle replacement.
I am a health care professional, and I have nothing but praise for my physician and every other person involved in my care.
I am now able to enjoy my work and recreational activities with only minor limitations. Running and step aerobics were never in my top 10 favorite activities anyway!
