I have been dealing with neck pain and other complications for several years. I have tried medication, physical therapy, traction, cervical injections, and nerve ablation. Three out of four doctors recommended surgery, but I didn't feel comfortable enough with these doctors to let them cut around my spinal cord.
That was until I met Dr. Oren Gottfried at Duke.
He took the time to explain the cause of the pain and nerve damage. He explained the procedure to corrrect my problem and answered all the questions I had. Some of this information and treatment was new to me.
After explaining I had plans to marry in seven weeks, Dr. Gottfried and his staff worked quickly to get me scheduled for surgery at Duke Raleigh Hospital.
The surgery corrected the nerve damage that I was experiencing. Dr. Gottfried did a wonderful job before, during, and after the surgery.
The staff at Duke Raleigh were very pleasant and supportive. I will go back to Dr. Gottfried and his co-workers for all my future neurosurgery needs. Thank you for having such a talented and professional staff.
