Robert (Bob) HornakI had been troubled by stenosis and scoliosis. Initially I had surgery (and it was incomplete) in Charleston, SC. The surgery didn't go well; I had more issues after the surgery and the installed hardware was falling apart.
Dr. Carlos Bagley was recommended to me. How lucky I was to be a patient of his. Dr. Bagley scheduled another surgery. New hardware was installed and the prior surgery was completed.
Dr. Bagley and his team are to be commended. The knowledge, expertise, and caring (including followup) are exceptional. The office staff is also very helpful with appointments, insurance, setting appointments with other doctors, etc.
Dr. Bagley not only took care of my spinal surgery, he was very helpful in helping me with newer problems. I was diagnosed with severe anemia and hospitalized in South Carolina, where they were not able to help me.
Dr. Bagley was instrumental in getting care for me at Duke! My partner, Rosemarie, was in phone contact with Dr. Bagley. Dr. Bagley interacted with the SC doctors, who stabilized me until I was released. I then went to Duke to see a hematologist and undergo testing.
Always helping, personable, and an expert! I believe that without being treated by Dr. Bagley, I would have been severely crippled and, in fact, may not be alive today. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to tell a part of my story, as I will always be grateful that I was treated by him.
Silly as it may sound, besides my thanks, I have entered Dr. Bagley on Angie's List and always tell others when they have asked about my surgical experience.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Sincerely,
Robert (Bob) Hornak
