In an effort to lessen the number of people exposed to
potentially-harmful second-hand smoke, 33 states across the
U.S. have passed smoking bans to prohibit smoking in public
spaces like workplaces, bars, and restaurants.
These laws have sparked a debate between those who are
grateful not to inhale second-hand smoke and those who think
the government should not dictate how people choose to treat
their bodies.
