Toni M. Cutson, MD, MHSToni Cutson, MD, medical director of Duke HomeCare & Hospice, and her team provide care at some of life’s most pressing times.
Under the umbrella of Duke HomeCare & Hospice, we have home health, which offers nursing services, rehabilitation services, social work, and nutritional assistance; home infusion, which provides administration of intravenous (through a vein) medications such as antibiotics and chemotherapy to patients in their own homes; and hospice, which helps patients and their caregivers face the end of life.
With today’s shorter hospital stays, more and more people are benefitting from the expert, compassionate services of Duke’s home care services.
Our staff is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to serve the needs of people recovering from illness or injury in the comfort of their own home.
Dealing with end-of-life issues can be exhausting for both patients and caregivers alike. Duke Hospice provides comfort and support.
A team of nurses, social workers, home health aides, chaplains, volunteers, and bereavement counselors care for patients in their home, health care facility, or Duke Hospice’s inpatient facilities in Hillsborough and Durham.
We ensure that all patient and family needs are met, so patients and families don’t have to face this time alone.
Duke HomeCare & Hospice is accredited by the Joint Commission. This accreditation is given only to organizations that have demonstrated that they meet the highest standards in their field.
