Parking: The parking deck for Duke University Hospital is located across Erwin Road from the hospital. Cost: $1 per hour. The parking deck for Duke University Hospital has an underground walkway and shuttle service to the hospital. The shuttle terminal is located on the "RT" level of the Duke University Hospital parking deck. Also on the "RT" level is a well-lit, securely monitored underground walkway to the hospital. A second parking deck (Parking Garage III) is available for Duke University Hospital Parking and for the Ambulatory Surgical Center and Bone Marrow Transplant Center. This garage is attached to North Pavilion Building off Fulton Road, about three blocks from the main Duke University Hospital Entrance. Cost is $1 per hour. Valet parking is also available Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday - Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., for $7 per day.
In addition to regular and intensive care inpatient units, the hospital houses a regional emergency/trauma center with a separate pediatric emergency department; a major surgery suite with four dedicated open-heart operating rooms; the Duke Surgical Endosurgery Center, where minimally invasive surgical procedures are performed; and an extensive diagnostic radiology area.
Duke University Hospital also provides an extensive array of patient services, including translation services, cultural services, and banking, shopping, and dining facilities.
