Comprehensive Dry Eye Evaluations
When you schedule a dry eye evaluation, we will perform the following tests:
- Detailed history
- Visual acuity
- Intraocular pressure
- Slit-lamp examination
- Conjunctival and cornea staining to assess ocular surface
- Dilated fundus examination
- Lipiview testing: new tool used to assess the oil layer of the tear film
- Schirmer testing: measures tear production
Other potential testing:
- Laboratory testing
- Osmolarity or other tear testing
