The group provides a place where patients can meet others going through similar experiences and can gain support and friendship. Geared for patients birthing at Duke and Durham Regional hospital, dads and partners/support persons are encouraged to attend the discussion about these options. Class is facilitated by an anesthesiologist and nurse who provide care in the Duke Birthing Center. Note- those wanting indepth knowledge about the labor process and all pain relief options are encouraged to register for a Prepared Childbirth class.
