Infant and Child Pediatric Life Support

Participants will receive an introduction to infant and child safety strategies along with being trained by the American Heart Friends and Family CPR standards for Infant and Child CPR. $35 for an individual/$50 for a couple.

Prepared Childbirth from Duke Women's Health Associate/Maternal Fetal Medicine
9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
This weekend series includes information on: signs of labor, stages of labor, comfort measurements, alternative pain management options, active coaching technique, breathing and relaxation techniques, massage therapy, vaginal and Cesarean births, positive ways to cope with unexpected outcomes, private birth plan consultation, and birthing center routines. Baby Care Class

A class touching on general information for expectant parents regarding the basics of baby care (feeding, bathing, diapering, etc.). A practical demonstration utilizing a baby model will be offered.
