Many women with pelvic floor disorders (PFDs) often suffer in silence. Join Duke Urogynecology for an educational event led by leading Duke physicians and specialists about PFDs. Attendees will learn about exciting non-surgical and minimally invasive treatment options as well as learn about physical therapy and wellness tips to strengthen the pelvic floor.
New research issued by the PFD Alliance finds that 90 percent of Americans underestimate or are unsure of the prevalence of PFDs which impacts approximately one in three women at some point during their lives. This program is a part of the "Break Free from PFDs" public awareness campaign aiming to help women understand the facts about PFDs and to empower them with information on the pursuit of individualized solutions for improved quality of life.
