Low-Carb/Low-Glycemic Diet Support Group

Support group for those who are currently using a low-glycemic or low-carbohydrate approach to diet (along with exercise and stress management) to stabilize blood sugar, improve cardiovascular health, and lose weight. While participants/professionals share information on managing this diet approach, this is a peer-to-peer support group format.

Bring baby and practice movements to regain core stability and strength. This 6 week series of classes is targeted to new moms who are just beginning to exercise after pregnancy. Moms should be at least 6 weeks but not greater than 3 months postpartum when beginning class. If you experienced a cesarean birth, please bring medical clearance from your physician to exercise.

Educators trained as Lamaze certified childbirth instructors (LCCE) teach all classes at Teer House. The eight (8) hour series is available on weekdays or weekends. Expectant parents are encouraged to complete the series between their 34-37th week. Register early, space is limited. Call 919-416-DUKE (919-416-3853). Fee - $80
