Pre-Operative Orthopaedic Class

Duke Raleigh Hospital offers a Pre-Operative Orthopaedic Surgery Class for all patients and family members. The class covers what you can expect before, during and after joint and spine surgery.
We will provide you with helpful information, useful tips and answer any and all of your questions.
You will meet your nurse, case manager, physical therapist and the occupational therapist that will be working with you.
This class occurs every Thursday.
PLEASE DISCUSS THIS CLASS WITH YOUR DOCTOR. YOU OR YOUR DOCTOR CAN SCHEDULE THE CLASS.

Knitting the Fabric of Your Life, One Stitch at a Time

Using the metaphor of knitting (casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off) to explore how we deal with beginning something new, how e cope with repetition and change, and what difficulties we encounter when we have to let go.
This workshop will begin on September 26 and continue for the next three Wednesday evenings, October 3, 10, and 17, from 5:30-6:45 P.M. in the 4th floor Conference Room at Erwin Square. Cost for the workshop is $75, and space is limited, so we are encouraging folks to register soon.
