Duke Raleigh Hospital offers a Pre-Operative Orthopaedic Surgery Class for all patients and family members. The class covers what you can expect before, during and after joint and spine surgery.
We will provide you with helpful information, useful tips and answer any and all of your questions.
You will meet your nurse, case manager, physical therapist and the occupational therapist that will be working with you.
This class occurs every Thursday.
PLEASE DISCUSS THIS CLASS WITH YOUR DOCTOR. YOU OR YOUR DOCTOR CAN SCHEDULE THE CLASS.

Infant Massage Class Series

This 2-part hands-on series (Thursday, May 30 & June 6) introduces parents to the basics of infant massage, which helps parents bond with baby, aid in digestion, etc. Infants ages 1 month – 4 months may participate. All classes are taught by Certified Infant Massage Instructors. “Baby’s First Touch” massage book and massage oil provided.
Please dress baby in 2-piece (top and bottom) outfit and bring an extra blanket with the usual gear in your baby bag.

Duke Law School and the North Carolina Bar Association, in partnership with the North Carolina Society of Healthcare Attorneys are working together to offer the Caner Pro Bono Legal Program Know Your Rights Series. Law students under the supervision of licensed attorneys will host “Know Your Rights” presentations, which aim to give patients valuable information about employee rights, health insurance and disability insurance rights and advanced care planning issues post diagnosis.
