Look Good...Feel Better

Durham Regional Hospital is pleased to offer Look Good Feel Better, a free American Cancer Society program that teaches women beauty techniques while they undergo chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
Tai Chi
3:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Tai Chi (TIE-CHEE) uses flowing movements performed in a slow, focused manner and is accompanied by deep breathing. Instructor John Hillson, RN, ONC, CHPN will guide you through this graceful self-paced form of exercise that is now used for stress reduction and for a variety of other health conditions. These sessions are located in the Quiet Room on the 0 Level of the Cancer Center and are held on the 2nd and forth Thursday of the month. No registration is needed. Breast Cancer Support Group
6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Duke Raleigh Cancer Center is offering a breast cancer support group designed for any breast cancer patient. The group provides a place where patients can meet others going through similar experiences and can gain support and friendship. This is an informal group that meets the 2nd Tuesday night each month from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Guided Relaxation
12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Enjoy deep relaxation, stress relief and benefits of meditation without prior experience. When practiced regularly, these activities lead to a reduction in your everyday stress levels and boost in your feelings of joy and serenity. These guided meditations are located in the Quiet Room on the 0 Level of the Duke Cancer Center. Sessions are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.
Gynecologic Oncology Support Group
