Duke Law School and the North Carolina Bar Association with additional support from the North Carolina Society of Healthcare Attorneys, are partnering to offer the Cancer Pro Bono Legal Program. Students working under the supervision of licensed attorneys will be available on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month from 10am - 1pm to help cancer patients create power of attorney documents and advance directives.

The series of classes includes information and practice sessions on: signs and stages of labor; role of the dad/support person; vaginal and cesarean births; comfort measures including relaxation and breathing techniques; pain management options; coping with unexpected outcomes; hospital routines. This 2 class series will be Saturday/Sunday May 4 & 5. Expectant parents are encouraged to complete the series between their 30-37th week. We recommend you attend the hospital tour prior to beginning this series since some dates may conflict. Register early, space is limited.

We will provide you with helpful information, useful tips and answer any and all of your questions.
You will meet your nurse, case manager, physical therapist and the occupational therapist that will be working with you.
This class occurs every Thursday.
