National Depression Screening Day 2012

Depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and related mood disorders cannot be seen on an x-ray. Yet mental illness is just as painful, and the stigma associated with the disease often prevents many from seeking help and getting treated.
National Depression Screening Day (NDSD) gives people access to an anonymous, validated, screening questionnaire and provides referral information for treatment.
Pre-Operative Orthopaedic Surgery Class

Duke Raleigh Hospital offers a Pre-Operative Orthopaedic Surgery Class for all patients and family members. The class covers what you can expect before, during and after joint and spine surgery.
• We will provide you with helpful information, useful tips and answer any and all of your questions.
• You will meet your nurse, case manager, physical therapist and the occupational therapist that will be working with you.
This class occurs every Thursday.
Integrative Coping Skills Group

This integrative therapy group uses CBT principles and yoga-based practices to help children (ages 8-12) who experience somatic complaints related to stress, anxiety, or other types of psychological distress.
