To assist mothers make informed decisions about pain relief during labor, this class provides detailed information about epidural analgesia along with a brief description of other pain relief options.
This class is geared for patients birthing at Duke and Durham Regional hospitals, dads and partners/support persons are encouraged to attend the discussion about these options, which is facilitated by an anesthesiologist and nurse who provide care in the Duke Birthing Center.
Those wanting in-depth knowledge about the labor process and all pain relief options are encouraged to register for a Prepared Childbirth class.
