This innovative childbirth series is at Duke Health Center at South Point. The class includes information on:

  • Stages and phases of labor
  • Comfort measurements
  • Alternative pain management options
  • Active coaching technique
  • Breathing and relaxation techniques
  • Massage therapy
  • Vaginal birth
  • Complete Cesarean education
  • Positive ways to cope with unexpected outcomes
  • Private birth plan consultation
  • Birthing center routines

Educator is Lamaze certified childbirth educator (LCCE), Certified Nurse midwife (HK/UK), and is an obstetric and perinatal nurse/women's health at Duke Health Center at Southpoint.

Expectant parents are encouraged to complete the series by their 30-34th week.
