Description

Duke University Hospital in conjunction with the American Red Cross will be sponsoring the first annual Valentine’s Day Blood Drive. Donors will be entered into hourly drawings for prizes including:

  • Carolina Hurricanes Hockey tickets
  • Duke Women’s Basketball tickets
  • Nantucket Grill gift certificate
  • Carolina Ale House gift certificate
  • Panera Bread gift certificates
  • Carolina Theater movie tickets
  • Duke merchandise

In addition, all donors will receive a Red Cross t-shirt sponsored by Bojangle’s restaurant and be refreshed post-donation by dining on a variety of delicious food selections donated by Carolina Ale House, Miami Subs, Papa John’s Pizza, Target bakery, Kroger, and Costco.

The blood drive will be held in the Searle Center lecture hall from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on February 14, 2006.

Searle Center - Lecture Hall Lower level of the Duke Medical Center Library Building near the Commons Restaurant Directions: Visitors to the Searle Center may use the parking deck for Duke University Hospital. This deck is located across Erwin Road from the hospital. The parking deck for Duke University Hospital has an underground walkway and shuttle service to the hospital. The shuttle terminal is located on the "RT" level of the Duke University Hospital parking deck. Also on the "RT" level is a well-lit, securely monitored underground walkway to the hospital.

Directions
The Seeley G. Mudd Building houses the Duke University Medical Center Library, the Searle Conference Center, and the Medical Center Commons.  The Searle Center is in the lower level of the Seeley G. Mudd Building, and is accessible via walkway between Duke Hospital and Duke Clinic, as well as the traffic circle off Research Dr. behind Bryan Bldg.

Visitors to the Searle Center may use the parking deck for Duke University Hospital.  This deck is located across Erwin Road from the hospital.
