Researchers do not understand how individuals with anorexia nervosa sense cues from their body (like their gut churning, heart beating, etc.).

This research study studies the components of body experience and how such cues influence gut feelings. With this information we hope to learn about body image disturbance in anorexia nervosa.

Eligibility Requirements

The study is hoping to recruit individuals 10 to 19 years of age with a present or past diagnosis of anorexia nervosa.

Study Requirements

There are three visits involved with this study.

  • Study day one involves computer games and questionnaires.
  • Study day two and three involve saliva samples and a MRI.

Compensation

Participants can earn up to $270 for successful participation.
