If you are between the ages of 18 and 75, and have both major depressive disorder and trouble falling or staying asleep at night, you may qualify for participation in a research study at the Duke Sleep Disorders Center.

Eligible participants will receive an FDA-approved medication for depression and will learn new strategies that can be used to improve sleep.

The entire study lasts about 11 months. The treatment phase of the study, consisting of pharmacological and psychological interventions, lasts approximately 16 weeks.

The required visits to Duke University Medical Center are office visits, which are scheduled during normal business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.).

A grant from the National Institutes of Health is sponsoring this study.
