Surfactant Protein A Regulation of Innate Immunity in Asthma

This study compares epithelial cells from individuals with asthma to epithelial cells from individuals without asthma to determine if those with asthma have fewer or less effective SP-As.

It is hoped that the information learned from this study can help in the future to design better treatments for asthma.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, participants must:

  • Be 18 to 65 years old
  • Have an asthma diagnosis 
  • Be a non-smoker

Study Requirements

  • Visit one will take approximately two hours.
  • Visit two will take approximately six hours.
  • You will be contacted for three days for follow-up.

Compensation

You will be reimbursed up to $450 for your participation.
