Share

Individuals with eating disorders have been reported to make unhealthy decisions at times. We will study the brain regions related to value and decision making to better understand neural factors that contribute to healthy and unhealthy choices.

This research study will improve our knowledge about the function and development of the human brain. Knowledge from these studies may help us to develop more effective treatments for individuals with eating disorders.

Study Requirements

Participants will fill out self-report questionnaires (prior to study day one), participate in a laboratory assessment day, and participate in a magnetic resonance imaging session (MRI). If you agree to take part in this study, you will participate in three study days.

Eligibility Requirements

We are recruiting people between the ages of 18 and 35 with a current or past diagnosis of anorexia nervosa as well as people who have no history of an eating disorder.

Compensation

Participants will be compensated $30 per hour. The entire study is expected to last between 7.5 and 9 hours.
