Duke Cardiac Catheterization Lab is seeking research subjects with carotid stenosis to participate in a carotid stent high-risk registry.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Men and women over 18 years of age
  • Have carotid stenosis

Study Requirements

  • High surgical risk patients to be treated consistent with IFU labeling
  • Sign a written informed consent and HIPAA authorization prior to the procedure
  • Have a physical exam and medical history performed
  • Complete standardized questionnaires to evaluate stroke symptoms
  • Have an x-ray of the neck arteries using contrast dye
  • Have a carotid artery stent placement procedure
