RED-HF: Darbepoetin Alfa Treatment on Mortality and Morbidity in Heart Failure (HF)

The purpose of this study is to compare the safety and effectiveness of darbepoetin alfa (Aranesp) to a placebo (an injection containing no medication) in patients with heart failure.
The trial is scheduled to last three years.
