The Prostate Cancer Recovery Enhancement for African American Men and Their Intimate Partners (PROCARE) study, is a multi-site, randomized clinical trial being conducted by Duke University and East Carolina University.

The PROCARE Study will evaluate two educational interventions tailored for African American prostate cancer survivors and their intimate partners.

The interventions provide education about symptoms and teach cognitive and behavioral techniques for managing symptom severity, reducing emotional distress related to symptoms, and improving daily functioning.

Couples participate in six 60-minute telephone sessions over the course of eight weeks.

Each couple may receive up to $150 for participating.
