The Duke ADHD Program is looking for control female smokers for a study researching connections between female hormones and smoking.

Eligibility Requirements

The participants must meet the following criteria:

  • Current smoker, at least 10 cigarettes per day
  • Female between the ages of 18 and 50
  • Three consecutive regular menstrual cycles 
  • Not currently taking hormonal contraceptives

Study Requirements

Visits involve a screen (two hours), and two experimental sessions (three hours).

There is no medication used in the study.

Compensation

Study compensation up to $159.
