You may be eligible to participate in a research study testing an experimental way to help people quit smoking.

Eligibility

We are seeking men and women who:

  • Are between the ages of 18 and 70
  • Smoke cigarettes
  • Have a diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Are willing to attempt quitting smoking

Requirements

Participants will be required to:

  • Undergo 13 appointments and 11 weeks of at-home electronic diary use over about 12 weeks (plus a six-month follow-up visit)
  • Use nicotine patches and the medication bupropion during study participation
  • Provide saliva samples and complete a drug screening

Compensation

Participants will earn up to $700.
