Patients with sickle cell disease are needed for a study that administers psychological and social tests to better understand the psychological, social, financial, personal and professional relationships, and religious or spiritual struggles patients with sickle cell disease encounter.

The study seeks to understand how these struggles influence reports of pain and disability and how they influence health care utilization.
